EDMOND, Okla. (Aug. 12, 2024) – Oklahoma ER & Hospital is delighted to announce its upcoming Teddy Bear Clinic, scheduled to take place at the Heard on Hurd festival in downtown Edmond on Saturday, August 17, at 6 p.m. The event is designed to provide the children in the community the opportunity to learn about emergency services and the inner workings of the emergency room from first responders.

The Teddy Bear Clinic has hosted hundreds of kids in the past as it provides a fun and interactive environment for children to gain valuable insights into the critical role of emergency responders and healthcare professionals. Children can bring their stuffed animals or purchase an Oklahoma ER & Hospital teddy bear to join them as they explore each emergency service and interact directly with the community’s first responders. The aim is to educate and eliminate potential fears for the future.

“We’re thrilled to bring our beloved Teddy Bear Clinic back to Heard on Hurd! This event is all about educating kids and helping to ease their fears of hospitals and emergency services as we inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals,” said Makailyn Dillon, Director of Marketing at Oklahoma ER & Hospital.

The community’s choice for ER care is dedicated to the health, safety, and preparedness of Edmond and beyond. Oklahoma ER & Hospital wants all patients, adults and children, to have no fear and anxiety surrounding medical emergency care as it’s committed to a patient-first, healthy community.

The Teddy Bear Clinic is open for all in the community to join at Heard on Hurd, located in downtown Edmond, on Saturday, August 17, at 6 p.m.
