A Special Thank You to Our Doctors

March 30 is National Doctors Day, a time to recognize the heroic measures doctors take to keep their communities safe and healthy. We would like to personally thank the remarkable doctors at Oklahoma ER & Hospital!

We appreciate each of you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the long hours you endure, the sacrifices you make, and the courageous work you do. Oklahoma ER & Hospital would not be where it is today without our incredible team of doctors!

Our team of emergency physicians go above and beyond to take care of our community, not only with the way they care for their patients, but also by giving back through their involvement in volunteer work, charities, and local organizations. Our doctors are Oklahoma Proud, and Oklahomans are proud of them!

Get to Know Our Extraordinary Doctors

Dr. Sang Lee

Since moving to Oklahoma at the age of five, Dr. Lee has dedicated himself to pursuing medicine. In the fast-paced world of emergency care, he was inspired by how quickly doctors must think on their feet and work with their patients. He found his calling in emergency medicine, which is what brought him to work with Oklahoma ER & Hospital.

Fun fact: You can catch him jamming out on his electric guitar when he’s not working.

Dr. Mark Blubaugh

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Blubaugh has always been passionate about providing his community with the best care possible. Since 2005, Dr. Blubaugh has been a Board-Certified emergency physician, where he has served on the Medical Control Board for EMSA, as well as served on the Regional Trauma Advisory Board for the State of Oklahoma.

Fun fact: He was the quarterback for Northeastern State University – go RiverHawks!

Dr. Bill Worden

Dr. Worden has over 10 years of experience and has been involved in pre-hospital care since he was in high school. Education is something that’s important to him, and when not in the emergency department, he’s typically giving lectures to EMS agencies or law enforcement agencies across the state. Dr. Worden was instrumental in bringing active shooter training to Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS agencies in Oklahoma.

Fun fact: During football season, you can catch him in Stillwater cheering on the cowboys every Saturday.

Dr. Brandon Boke

Dr. Boke has been practicing as an ER Doctor for the last 14 years and has lived in the Oklahoma City area for the last 12 years. After working at large hospital systems, Dr. Boke now prefers the specialized hospital environment and being able to focus on providing fast comfort to individual patients.

Fun fact: Outside of the hospital, he is busy raising three children and enjoys coaching their soccer teams.

Dr. Andrew Hoelscher

After getting his medical degree, engaging in a robust career in emergency medicine, and raising his two children, Dr. Hoelscher and his wife have planted their roots just outside of Tishomingo. When he isn’t tending to his patients at Oklahoma ER & Hospital, Dr. Hoelscher is chasing cows, fixing fences, feeding his chickens, and spoiling the other livestock that he and his family keep.

Fun fact: He is a member of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, where he plays the saxophone.

Dr. David Long

Born in Oklahoma City, Dr. Long knew he wanted to practice medicine from a very young age. He pursued a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and afterward completed his residency in 2001. Since then, Dr. Long has been practicing medicine full-time in Oklahoma, where he enjoys engaging with patients one-on-one and providing the help they need.

Fun fact: The two hobbies he enjoys most in his spare time are traveling and golfing.

Dr. Brian Plaxico

With over 15 years of medical experience, Dr. Plaxico is a self-declared “Cowboy by blood” who is proud to call Edmond his home. He has been fortunate to have gained experience from many different ER settings, with over 10 years of experience at a Level 1 trauma center. He and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 16 years and have three daughters. Together, the five of them enjoy traveling and taking on new adventures as a family.
